The 20th Club Installation of the Rotary Club of Greater Tezpur took place on 1st July 2023 at the Columbia Conference Hall of Cygnett Inn. The event was a grand success, with distinguished guests, club members, and community leaders in attendance.
The Chief Guest for the evening was IPDG Dr. Kushnava Pabi, accompanied by Mrs. Jaya Pabi. They were welcomed by the outgoing President, Rtn Rahul Baid, who also took the opportunity to congratulate Rtn. Nilesh Agarwal and his wife, Lakshmi Agarwal, for being elected as the District Governor (DG) of RID-3240 for the year 2023-2024. Rtn. Sumeet Dugar presented the Secretarial report, highlighting the achievements and activities of the club during the past year.
The highlight of the evening was the installation of the new board of directors. Rtn. Rajender Sharma was introduced as the incoming President of Rotary Club of Greater Tezpur, and Rtn. Karan Bajoria was installed as the incoming Secretary. The Guest of Honor and installation officer, PDG SubhashisChatterjee, conducted the installation ceremony, affirming the new leadership's commitment to serving the club and the community. The board of directors, along with the newly appointed President and Secretary, pledged to uphold the values and objectives of Rotary.
During the event, two new members were welcomed into RCGT. Rtr. Vinit Bothra and DRR Parna Deb Roy took their oaths as new members, expressing their dedication to the Rotary ideals and their enthusiasm for actively contributing to the club's projects and initiatives.
To mark this special occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was held, symbolizing the unity and camaraderie of the club members. Following the ceremony, all attendees enjoyed a delightful dinner, further strengthening the bonds of friendship and fellowship.
