Tittle of the Record: Largest Sanitary Napkins Mosaic
Date and Location: June 24, 2024, Ukhra Adarsh Hindi High School
RI District 3240 has achieved a world record for creating the largest sanitary napkins mosaic, a tribute to the late PDRR Amalendu Tiwari. This remarkable mosaic, constructed using 7,843 biodegradable pads, spans an impressive 1,665.4 square feet, significantly surpassing the previous record of 4,560 pads.
The event, held at Ukhra Adarsh Hindi High School, was not only a record-setting endeavor but also a significant educational initiative. Over 2,200 girls attended an educational session on menstrual health, with the pads from the mosaic distributed to them afterwards. This effort underscores the importance of menstrual hygiene and community collaboration.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Ukhra, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ukhra, and supported by the Rotary Clubs of Greater Tezpur and Malda Central.
This initiative was led by DRR Rtn Rtr Parna Deb Roy (PHF) and supported by DS Abhishek Sharma, ZS Avinash Sharma, and Rtr Shubham, President of the Rotaract Club of Ukhra.
